Oops, looks like we're doing UsrMove in Beefy (F17). Expect symlinks:

/lib -> usr/lib
/lib64 -> usr/lib64
/sbin -> usr/bin
/bin -> usr/bin
/usr/sbin -> bin

Fun times ahead :-)

It's about eliminating historical split, which is no longer relevant. See the second-to-last answer in linked FAQ.

BTW, I remember that getting rid of /usr entirely didn't fly well - http://lists.fedoraproject.org/pipermail/devel/2009-April/027473.html .
